The Almanac of Sanguine Paths

The Almanac of Sanguine Paths is a GM-less letter-writing and journaling game for one or two players, cast as werewolves who each receive a strange almanac from an unknown benefactor. The book becomes the link between them, carrying letters back and forth as they work out what their new existence costs. For solo players, letter-writing pairs and anyone who prefers reflective, story-first play over combat and initiative order. Key details: • Players: 1-2 • Age: 14+ • Format: over 200 pages, illustrated with original wolf and tarot pen and ink artwork • Publisher: Montford Tales • Contents: solo and two-player rules, world-building and character creation tools, six pre-built worlds, twelve pre-generated characters, introductory letters and journaling prompts • Pre-built settings include Modern Day, Rome: Republic to Empire and Lovecraftian London • You will need: a 78-card tarot deck and something to write with, not included You draw from the tarot deck, read the prompt it points to and answer in character, usually as a letter to the other werewolf. Over several sittings the correspondence builds into a record of two lives changing, which is the actual output of the game.
